Wednesday-Thursday, April 30-May 1, 2008

Objective(s):
Today you will -
- Perform an experiment on each other's senses.
- Calculate the average (over and over again)
- Use a graph as a tool to show the fastest sense.
- Provide Reasoning for your hypothesis.

Agenda:
1. Warm-up (Graphing on EXCEL!)
2. Lab Introduction and Explanation
3. Perform the Lab
4. Data Collection/Analysis and Conclusion

Warm up:
1. Create a NEW Spreadsheet workbook using the following information and graph. Make sure to take the average.

Two cars were tested to see their speeds from 0-60mph. For each car, they completed 7 different trials, recorded the time (in seconds) it took for each car to reach 60mph, and then took the average. Tabulate, then graph all (including the averages) results:

VW Jetta (0-60mph) time (seconds):
Trial 1 = 9.2
Trial 2 = 11
Trial 3 = 12
Trial 4 = 8.5
Trial 5 = 9
Trial 6 = 9.2
Trial 7 = 8.9

Porche 911 (0-60mph) time (seconds):
Trial 1 = 7
Trial 2 = 3
Trial 3 = 5
Trial 4 = 8
Trial 5 = 5.2
Trial 6 = 5.9
Trial 7 = 5

2. Underneath the graph on the spreadsheet tell me what the graph and chart is saying!
