Open up MS Publisher and follow the instructions for setting up a 2-panel (C-fold) brochure

1st. Create a Standard Sized Business Card with dimensions of 3.5"x2"
2nd: Create a Business Card for your favorite Musician, band, or music group. You must include:
  • Name of Individual (or group)
  • Corporate Logo, Address, Telephone #
  • List of most popular albums
  • Picture

3rd: Save as: PerX-warm-date-last-first.pub

1. CELEBRITY BUSINESS CARD
What kind of card would Beyonce Knowles carry around? You decide. Choose a celebrity. Design a CORPORATE card that would fit him/her personality and his/her career.
2. CHARACTER BUSINESS CARD

What kind of card would Mickey Mouse carry around? You decide. Pick a TV or cartoon character. Design a CORPORATE or PERSONAL card that would fit his/her personality and his/her career! Include: Individual Name, Company Name, Company Address, Logo or Illustration, Telephone #s, Email and/or Webpage address.
3. PERSONAL BUSINESS CARD
This card should emphasize yourself. Make your name bold and large. Put your most important trait on top and then list all the things you like to do. INCLUDE: personal information is also given (email address, cell #, address, myspace page)
4. YOUR CORPORATE BUSINESS CARD
This card should emphasize the business you work at. Make the business bold and large-or include a logo. INCLUDE: Come up with your own dream corporation! You must give yourself a TITLE and include the address to the corporation (not your personal information!), email, address, webpage, contact info.

Warm up
Open up MS Publisher and follow the instructions for setting up a 2-panel (C-fold) brochure

1st: Change the dimensions and orientation of your page.

  • Go to FILE > PAGE SETUP
  • Under "Publication Type," select "CUSTOM"
  • Set the Width to 7.328" and the Height to 8.5"
  • Under "Orientation," select "Landscape"
2nd: Set up the layout guides

  • Margins @ 0.2" all around
  • 2 Columns, 0.2" spacing

3rd: Insert a 2nd page

4th: Follow the directions below

On the front panel, write the words "Mr. Aguda's Tech Class"
On the back panel, write your contact information: your name, email and class period
On the left inside panel, put a picture of a business card somewhere on the panel
On the right inside panel, insert a BOX, a CIRCLE, and a STAR (if there's time, color them in)

5th: Save as perx-cfoldwarm-lastfirst.pub

(5) On the left inside panel, type the lyrics to your favorite song.
(6) On the center inside panel, insert a picture you find on the internet
(7) On the right inside panel, type Today's date and today's agenda
